Practise making positive sentences using the present perfect tense. These exercises contain a mix of regular and irregular verbs.

How do we make affirmative/positive sentences with the present perfect structure?

This shows a diagram with the subject verb agreement for the present perfect using affirmative sentences.

💡 Most verbs end with ‘ed’. Look at these sentence examples:

I have walked 10 miles today.

You have walked 10 miles today.

We have walked 10 miles today.

They have walked 10 miles today.

He has walked 10 miles today.

She has walked 10 miles today.

It has walked 10 miles today.

 

💡 When we use the present perfect verb tense, many common verbs are irregular. Look at this sentence:

I have eaten my breakfast.

🚫   I have eated my breakfast. 🚫

ℹ️   The verb is plural because there are two subjects.
