Quantifier Exercises for IELTS Writing

People are countable so we can use 'Many' and 'A large number of'. Using 'many' is fine, but let's try to practice so it becomes more natural for you to use these other quantifiers easily in your IELTS writing and speaking.

Information is uncountable so we use ‘A large amount of’.

✅Coffee is uncountable so we can use ‘a large amount of’. Be aware that people do say "I would like two coffees" in English, but this really means "Two cups of coffee".

Equipment is uncountable so we can use ‘a large amount of’. ‘Plenty of’ can be used for countable and uncountable nouns.

Individuals are countable so we can use ‘a large number of’ and ‘plenty of’.
